We had to put George down, our 7 years old golden retriever. So so sad to lose him to cancer. It happened so fast without much warning. Anyone who is a dog owner knows how hard this is. He was a member of the family and a happy one that just loved everyone! His greatest joy was walking in the the neighborhood with a big fat stick in his mouth.
I have been spending so much time in my gardens, planting and crying, weeding and crying, pruning trees and crying. This is how I deal with grief. Years ago, my mom had a stroke, the day I found out and was waiting for phone calls. I painted my kitchen red. Action and sobbing is how I deal.
Here is a short video, I encourage you to please stop putting chemicals on your lawn or in you gardens. Take a moment, bend over, pull a weed and think of George. I will think of George. He was the happiest of dogs.
I have two weddings and a shower to attend to in the next few months. I am struggling with what to wear. I like to buy pieces that I love and can wear over and over again. I really want to be comfortable and feel like myself.
I pride myself on being Fit and Fabulous. I struggle with the fabulous piece and posting about it. My sister and my friends will tell me to wear form fitting clothes because I am fit and fabulous. There is a part of me that thinks who am I to say that! I am a few pounds heavier than I would like to be. I am a bit thicker around the middle than I was. ALL of that. I also tend to wear loose fitting clothes.
I decided I am going to embrace who I am and not worry about it.
Minimalism Day 6.
Clothes! Day 6 is about enjoying your clothes about paring down your wardrobe. My wardrobe is very streamlined. I am trying my best to buy what I love and to be able to wear the pieces to different occasions. A pair of Black Oxfords are coming tomorrow. Thanks Zappos! Details to follow!
Here is my Sunday church outfit.
I am proud of myself to feel confident enough to wear Tretorns to church!
Day 20 of no gluten, sugar or alcohol. My SHMEC is great!!!
You are in balance when your SHMEC is in balance. I have been off gluten, sugar and alcohol for 20 days. I feel so much better. I am sleeping, the hot flashes have lessen and have lost the stomach bloat.
Still a slight agitation in the evening when I like a glass of wine at dinner. Rehab is 28 days so it is okay. It is getting better. I have found some good substitutions…. Golden milk, kombucha, a nice cup of tea.
How is your SHMEC?

I love winter! It is such a cozy time of year. I enjoy hiking with George the dog when everything is frozen and I don’t have to be concerned about mud or ticks!
The Anchored bridge has changed my life! Sometimes, I will demonstrate this on a concrete sidewalk. I just want to share. Try this before you pop that ibuprofen.
A powerful exercise!
Here is the story. 18 months I “blew out my back”. I wasn’t doing anything. You know how that goes. I was in PAIN. I had to brace myself to roll over in bed at night. I went to 2 chiropractors, a MD for drugs, a PT. I had massages and structural integration work. It all helped to some extent. I didn’t start to really heal until I found Dr. Phil Pritting. He is a certified Foundation Trainer. Foundation Training is the work of Dr. Eric Goodman.
I wanted to find a way to take care of myself instead of being in constant rehab. Dr. Pritting taught me the Anchored Bridge. It is incorporated into every one of my workouts. I feel it is so important for everyone to strengthen their posterior chain. (low back, glutes, hamstrings)

My intention for 2105 is to empower as many people as possible to become Fat Burners! It takes 5 days to change from being a chubby sugar burner to a vibrant healthy fat burner. I use the 5 day Reset program to do this. January has been a great month. I have many people on their fat burning journey.
I am very excited because my 2 sisters and my neice are starting Reset tomorrow. I created a special video for them to really jump start their program. It will work for you too!
You need to set aside 2 minutes in the morning to do this. You can do it in your pajamas if you want to. It will get your metabolism going for the next 24 hours and you will feel fabulous.
