An incredible healing exercise.

The Anchored bridge has changed my life! Sometimes, I will demonstrate this on a concrete sidewalk. I just want to share. Try this before you pop that ibuprofen.

A powerful exercise! Squeeze,Squeeze,Squeeze

A powerful exercise!

Here is the story. 18 months I “blew out my back”.  I wasn’t doing anything. You know how that goes. I was in PAIN. I had to brace myself to roll over in bed at night. I went to 2 chiropractors, a MD for drugs, a PT. I had massages and structural integration work. It all helped to some extent. I didn’t start to really heal until I found Dr. Phil Pritting. He is a certified Foundation Trainer. Foundation Training is the work of Dr. Eric Goodman.

I wanted to find a way to take care of myself instead of being in constant rehab. Dr. Pritting taught me the Anchored Bridge. It is incorporated into every one of my workouts.  I feel it is so important for everyone to strengthen their posterior chain. (low back, glutes, hamstrings)

Here you go. Do it with me.

What does Age have to do with it?

I am 61. I am telling you that because I don’t want you to limit yourself because of your age.

I have women tell me that they can’t do what I do. The truth is that you can if you want to. 10 years ago, I could not do a decent push-up. Today, I can do a phenomenal push-up, even off the ground. A previous post:)

Here is a video to get you started on your way to doing a push-up. A push-up is an incredible exercise when done properly. I include them in every workout. It is an excellent core exercise while working on your pectoral muscle and triceps. The muscles you need to look great in that little black dress. (if that is what motivates you) For me, push-ups are very empowering. I feel strong when I do them.

I am including exercise videos in THE PROGRAM!

Are you a “Baby Boomer”?

I am! I googled baby Boomer. If you were born between 1946 and 1964, you are considered a Baby Boomer.

Are you thinking about retirement? Are you wondering how you will spend your day? Are you concerned that your money will run out before you do? Have you ever thought of having your own business? It seems like a crazy time to start a business. Actually, I think it is the perfect time. I have had my own business for almost 9 years. I create my own hours. I do my business around my special need’s son  schedule. I fit it in on my terms. Love that!

I have meet some amazing people along the way. Kate's book launchDr. NorhrupMary and Dr. Oz

My family and I are healthier because of the business and I am making residual income.

one week…2.4 pounds lighter!

Tuesday morning check in. I am down 2.4 in a week! I measured my waist last week and it was a tight, suck it in 31 inches. Today it got there with ease. Whew~

This has been an easy process, cutting back on my eating and bumping up the exercise a little bit. I had a daily glass of organic red wine and Sunday night is always ice cream night at our house. A cup of vanilla with a spoonful of caramel sauce. AND I am 2.4 pounds lighter! No deprivation here.

I am putting this all together for a September program. Interested ? It is amazing what accountability can do. We will raise each other up! Let me know, I will put you on the list!

Water with a Festive straw!

Day 5 #burning menopausal belly fat

Here is the tip of the day!

Drink more water. The word on the street is to drink 1/2 your body weight in water. So, if you weigh 140 lbs, drink 70 oz. I have been shooting for a gallon a day. I workout. It is August in NJ. I have bumped it up! Drinking water will help you lose weight, it is great for your skin and so important for healthy digestion.

Check out the ABS!

Full disclosure...not mine:)

Full disclosure…not mine:)

Menopausal belly, flatter stomach, less bloat…  I have been working on feeling my best.  My abs don’t quite look like the photo BUT there are times when I feel like that. Strong abs are very empowering!!!

I have reduced my grains, I am not totally grain free, because I don’t want strict rules for myself. It doesn’t work. It  increases my cortisol levels causes gas, bloat and weight gain. I am so happy I have figured that one out! It doesn’t pay to be mean to myself! I do so much better when I go easy.  If I do have grains, I have a small portion and I am okay with that.

I am drinking a gallon of water a day. I have a cute mason jar and I drink four of them a day. That alone makes me feel  and look better.

I have great workout classes three times a week. I have a wonderful community #fitandfabulous, we have an effective workout, laugh and and it becomes an occasional therapy session. All included in the price of the program! That is how you make exercise work for you! It needs to be fun!

Do everything you can to bring pleasure into your life right now!!!

Hula hoops…great ab workout!
