Week two …3 pounds lighter.

It is Progress. Heading in the right direction. Half a pound this week according to the scale. It feels like more, my pants are definitely looser and my belly is flatter. Keep on going.

My Big News!

I have created THE PROGRAM! Are you ready to join me on the Fit and Fabulous…Aging Optional Journey. It is so much easier when we are all in this together!

Watch this and see what you think.

I didn’t go into the food in the video. I have been eating well. One night, I had sirloin steak, roasted vegetables and red wine. So delicious!  Last night we had cod and scallops over pasta.   I have changed a few things in my diet. These small changes have made a difference. I can help you too!

You have the Power!

How do you want to feel? It is not just about losing weight. It is about feeling great. I want to be lighter, stronger, flexible. (I feel like a giant in my kitchen, Film making 101! )

How about you?

10 days in..time for sabotage?

It has been ten day on the program. My usually tendency is to lose a few pounds and think okay good enough and slowly go back to my old habits. I haven’t changed much but it is enough to make a difference. I feel lighter, my energy is good but it is normally good. I so appreciate having you as my accountability partner. Amazing to put yourself out there!

This is my trail run and I am putting together a list of people who want to get started. I am keeping the program small the first time around because I want to give more personal attention and really support everyone in their Fit and Fabulous…Aging Optional Journey.

If you are interested in being on the list. Please contact me.

one week…2.4 pounds lighter!

Tuesday morning check in. I am down 2.4 in a week! I measured my waist last week and it was a tight, suck it in 31 inches. Today it got there with ease. Whew~

This has been an easy process, cutting back on my eating and bumping up the exercise a little bit. I had a daily glass of organic red wine and Sunday night is always ice cream night at our house. A cup of vanilla with a spoonful of caramel sauce. AND I am 2.4 pounds lighter! No deprivation here.

I am putting this all together for a September program. Interested ? It is amazing what accountability can do. We will raise each other up! Let me know, I will put you on the list!

Water with a Festive straw!

Day 5 #burning menopausal belly fat

Here is the tip of the day!

Drink more water. The word on the street is to drink 1/2 your body weight in water. So, if you weigh 140 lbs, drink 70 oz. I have been shooting for a gallon a day. I workout. It is August in NJ. I have bumped it up! Drinking water will help you lose weight, it is great for your skin and so important for healthy digestion.

The first bite is the best!

Day 4 #Burningbellyfat

Have you noticed the first bite is the most enjoyable? Take the time to savor…

This morning, I made my energy bites which I love but they are full of fat and calories. Healthy fat but still you shouldn’t overdue. It is important to have a small portion and enjoy it. Portion Control…just writing that feels so boring. It is the truth.

I cut them in one inch squares. I figure they are probably about 150 calories which is perfectly fine. Sit and enjoy!

Riding my bike in the basement.

Day 3

Bump it up…I have my workouts Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning. Usually, Wednesday all I do is walk George the dog. Today, I rode my bike in the basement for a half hour and sprinted a few of the commercials.  The sprinting is key, boost the metabolism, and puts you into a fat burning mode.

Small changes can make a big difference. Working on the menopausal belly.

I would love to hear from you. What are you doing for exercise?

Love,

Mary

Menopausal Belly Video?

I weighed myself this morning.

WOW...

WOW…

I know I have put on a few pounds. My belly is expanding. I am Miss Fit and Fabulous so it is really hard for me to talk about this. I am being honest with myself and all of you. In the past, I would have done the 5 day Reset program which works really well if you have a sugar issue. The first time I did Reset I definitely had sugar issues and I lost 5 pounds in 5 days. It worked  great and I no longer have sugar issues. The last few times I did Reset I lost 2 pounds. I don’t want to Reset to lose the weight.

Yes, there is a chocolate shake in the box!

I do have a wonderful morning shake from my healthy gut program. Nutrimeal Free, strawberries, cucumber and Fibergy. I had a shake at 6:30 and wasn’t hunger for lunch until 1.

I have decided not to be hard on myself but to exercise a little more and eat a little less.  I take my Fit and Fabulous supplement, so important to nutrient your cells properly. The weight will come off easier.

I shot my own video, debated whether I should post it. It is my first one, they will get better, it is a bit shaky.

Please, I would love to hear from you. This was not an easy post. You will be my accountability partner!

Thank you.

Love,

Mary

Menopausal Belly???

“If you heard of menopausal belly, or wondered why it’s so commonplace to misplace your cell phone and keys when you hit midlife, let go of the idea that the problem is your hormones or “early old-timer’s disease.” Don’t think that way or talk that way. It isn’t your hormones, or early dementia, or a natural part of midlife that’s got your belly sticking out and your brain muddled. It’s what you are eating. The culprit is probably grains.” Dr. Christiane Northrup, Goddesses Never Age

So what do you think about that? My belly is certainly bigger, even though I work out and eat well most of the time.

I think it is super important to keep your blood sugar stable, get off the sugar and grains. I have reduced both but over the winter but the grains have started creeping back in.

I am going grain free for two weeks and see how I feel. I will probably continue past that but as you know, I don’t want  to be overly strict. It doesn’t work well for me. Actually, it makes me crazy,” no elimination diet” for me.

Yesterday, Easter Sunday was a FUN sugar day. Sunday, is a “day off” and it is beginning to feel like I don’t really want it but I do it anyway. Tom and I have an ice cream sundae every Sunday. I will stop that for two weeks as well.

If grain free feels to extreme to you. It is a great time for the gluten free 5 day Reset program to get you back on track. It will change you from a sluggish sugar burner to a vibrant energetic fat burner!

So important to take a high quality supplements. I have the inside scoop on amazing Ageless Goddess’ supplement pac. On your way to fabulous, vibrant and healthy! I can customize a energizing pac for you here. #fitandfabulous #agelessgoddesses

Let me know if you are interested in going grain free. Always great to do it with a group. I sent a text to Ivone and Karin last night and they are in as well. Keeps us all committed!

That is it for now, let me know what you think.

Love,

Mary
